Common name: Bridgelip Sucker

Species: Catostomus columbianus

Description: The Bridgelip sucker ha a flattened mouth and sharp lower jaws. They are no very big fish. The maximum size is about 15 inches, yet most are less than 10 inches in length.

Habitat: The bridgelip sucker likes colder water, such as rivers and streams. The sucker likes where it is composed of sand and silt.

 

Range/migration: It is common in the snake river, the Columbia river system in WN, OR, and ID.

Food: Their food source is not known.

Reproduction: They spawn in the spring.

Enemies: Humans use it as bait
