This is a very easy question to answer. You need to figure out what size pots to bring for the number of people in your trip. For a group of 1 to 3 people use a 1.5-liter pot and a 2.5-liter pot. For groups of 6 try a 2-liter and a 3-liter pot, and for 8 or more go with at least a 2-liter and a 4-liter. Its best to bring at least two pots, a nesting set is the easiest to carry just watch out for movement between the pots it can scratch up your nonstick coating. Pots should also have lids that seal well. Having a rim on the outside of the pot is also essential for picking it up with a pot-gripper.
