Liquid Fuel Stoves
Compressed Gas Stoves
Advantages

These types of stove fuel are readily available worldwide.

These fuel types are alcohol and kerosene.

These stoves burn either butane, isobutane, or propane.

They also require low maintenance and are easy to control.

Disadvantages

These stoves need more maintenance, don't simmer well at high elevations, and alcohol doesn't burn well at higher than 7,000 feet.

It's hard to tell the amount of fuel left, you have the problem of canister disposal and butane doesn't burn well over 7,000 feet.
