D.C. Senior iPad Program

How to Join

All program participants must be referred to WildTech by the D.C. Department of Aging and Community Living (DACL). There is currently a waitlist for new participants. Please reach out to DACL at 202-727-5762 to be added to the waitlist.

Two Senior iPad Program participants attend a training session at the library.

In order to be eligible for the program, participants must:

  • Be age 60 or older
  • Lack a computer or tablet in their household
  • Lack Wifi in their household
  • Be recommended by DACL
  • Be physically and mentally capable of using an iPad on their own or have someone who can assist them on an ongoing basis
(We also provide individualized attention to many seniors with disabilities.)

The Senior iPad Program follows WildTech's 6 Pillars of Digital Equity.

Note: A computer 3 years old or older does disqualify a participant. Neither does a broken computer or a computer that is not available for their use (such as one owned by an adult child that the participant does not have access to). Also, there is a limit of one iPad per household. If there are multiple eligible seniors in a household, they may participate in the program using the same iPad.

WildTech's Senior iPad Program is made possible by a grant from DACL
